Walton's Giving Grotto 2022

We are overwhelmed of the response from our community in the spirit of Giving this Christmas!

In previous Festival of Light events, the Giving Grotto was just a one day event and provided gifts for the elderly.

After consulting with Walton Charity it was agreed that families, individuals of all ages need our help in the form of Food Bank donations. We also considered the need of refugee families being support in our community by Elmbridge CAN and the Giving Grotto 2022 was born.

Then working with the owners of 12-16 High Street we were gifted the use of the old Dorothy Perkins premises to create an on-going grotto for the event and December. Our community and businesses then stepped up to volunteer and assist Love Walton in making the Grotto alive and welcoming and of course our fabulous Father Christmas’s!!

Here is the amazing summary of what was achieved – a HUGE FEAT of human kindness and we thank each and everyone involved in any way with the Grotto 🙂
